Narrative:
Over wallk intersection, on arrival (brook 2) into gso, got an RA on TCASII at approximately 11000 ft MSL during descent to 7000 ft. Light aircraft got within 300 ft vertical and 1/2 mi horizontal. We followed TCASII climb instructions and notified approach control of our actions. We gained approximately 1000 ft to 12000 ft. We visually picked up the traffic as it passed our right wing. The controller didn't pick up the traffic until we reported that we were 'TCAS climbing.' the tower chief later told me it was a VFR target heading wbound. Good save for the TCASII. Supplemental information from acn 445829: over wallk intersection, on brook 2 arrival into gso, got an RA on TCASII at approximately 11000 ft MSL. Title: ACR FOLLOWS TCASII RA. CTLR NOT AWARE OF TFC UNTIL AFTER THE FACT.
Narrative: OVER WALLK INTXN, ON ARR (BROOK 2) INTO GSO, GOT AN RA ON TCASII AT APPROX 11000 FT MSL DURING DSCNT TO 7000 FT. LIGHT ACFT GOT WITHIN 300 FT VERT AND 1/2 MI HORIZ. WE FOLLOWED TCASII CLB INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTIFIED APCH CTL OF OUR ACTIONS. WE GAINED APPROX 1000 FT TO 12000 FT. WE VISUALLY PICKED UP THE TFC AS IT PASSED OUR R WING. THE CTLR DIDN'T PICK UP THE TFC UNTIL WE RPTED THAT WE WERE 'TCAS CLBING.' THE TOWER CHIEF LATER TOLD ME IT WAS A VFR TARGET HDG WBOUND. GOOD SAVE FOR THE TCASII. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 445829: OVER WALLK INTXN, ON BROOK 2 ARR INTO GSO, GOT AN RA ON TCASII AT APPROX 11000 FT MSL. DURING DSCNT TO 7000 FT, LIGHT ACFT GOT WITHIN 300 FT VERT AND 1/2 MI HORIZ. WE FOLLOWED TCASII CLB INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTIFIED APCH CTL OF OUR ACTIONS. CLBED TO APPROX 12000 FT MSL, VISUALLY PICKED UP TFC AS IT PASSED R WING. CTLR DIDN'T PICK UP THE TFC UNTIL WE RPTED THAT WE WERE 'TCASII CLBING.' TWR CHIEF LATER ADVISED US IT WAS VFR TFC WBOUND.
