Narrative:

XA50Z, frequency 124.1. Location: phx 190 degree radial 9 DME. On the pusch 1 departure out of phx 190 degree heading, level 8000 ft, we received a TA at 6 mi, 400 ft above us, descending on a converging course. I was PF and acquired the target visually. I saw that a conflict was imminent and I was PF and began a left turn away from the intruder and began a descent. We then received an RA to descend. Advised ATC and went down to 7800 ft. Clear of conflict, we returned to 8000 ft. After calling phx approach upon arrival to dfw, I was told that the error occurred on the inbound approach control and that we were not at fault.
