Narrative:

On takeoff and initial climb, the aircraft roll control was stiff. Returned to ord. The aircraft was flown into ord by my crew, and we discovered the problem en route to ord. Maintenance looked it over and could not duplicate. They greased cables, etc, and signed it off. Maybe I should have been more persistent in having maintenance workers go deeper into researching the problem.
