Narrative:

On climb out, leveled at FL210. First officer's altimeter read FL220. Captain's (mine) altimeter was set to 29.82 instead of 29.92. Reset altimeter and descended to FL210. Altimeter was set low by maintenance and missed on preflight due to rushed departure. Contributing factors: first officer was brand new to position and noticed a problem, but did not speak up! Supplemental information from acn 447130: maintenance set captain's altimeter to 28.92. First officer set 29.92. Captain leveled off at FL220 instead of FL210. I was getting ATIS for cle and didn't catch it in time. Momentary altitude of FL220 was reached before immediately descending to FL210.
