Narrative:
Could not get down and locked gear after 3 tries. Asked the tower for a visual check and they said 3 were down. Landed on mains. Felt good, but nose retracted pulling mains up. Propeller hit runway, slid to a stop and exited aircraft. Aircraft was well maintained. Seems that this would happen even if owner was in plane.
