Narrative:
Aircraft departed out of a 5 day check. The airline uses a 10 day inspection and a 5 day. The aircraft was getting heavy maintenance during the 5 day and was still good for its 10 day. It was released from maintenance but not given another 5 day. The crew checked the 10 day but missed the lack of a 5 day signoff. The crew thought the 10 day inspection, which was current, was all that was needed once released from maintenance.
