Narrative:
Parked at gulfstream, requested taxi. Was instructed to taxi to runway 36. This meant a left turn on taxiway B, which is the parallel to runway 36. While taxiing sbound on taxiway B the ground controller asked if we had received ATIS information. My copilot replied in the affirmative. Evidently a portion of taxiway B was closed but not marked as such. We now believe that he meant for us to taxi to runway 18 and proceed south on the runway. He later instructed us to hold short of runway 9/27. This was not in the original clearance. We obliged. There was no incident. I guess I will have to listen to ATIS myself from now on.
