Narrative:

Air carrier X was en route to ord at FL350. Aircraft Y was en route to teb at FL330. Aircraft Y requested FL370. I had traffic at FL370, but I also had traffic at FL330 that was converging with aircraft Y, so I climbed him to FL350 temporarily. I knew air carrier X was traffic for aircraft Y, so I turned air carrier X to a 275 degree heading, thinking this would be about a 15 degree left turn. I was busy with other things, and air carrier X had an RA, which brought the situation to my attention. At this time the 2 aircraft had almost passed and there was nothing I could do.

Narrative: ACR X WAS ENRTE TO ORD AT FL350. ACFT Y WAS ENRTE TO TEB AT FL330. ACFT Y REQUESTED FL370. I HAD TFC AT FL370, BUT I ALSO HAD TFC AT FL330 THAT WAS CONVERGING WITH ACFT Y, SO I CLBED HIM TO FL350 TEMPORARILY. I KNEW ACR X WAS TFC FOR ACFT Y, SO I TURNED ACR X TO A 275 DEG HDG, THINKING THIS WOULD BE ABOUT A 15 DEG L TURN. I WAS BUSY WITH OTHER THINGS, AND ACR X HAD AN RA, WHICH BROUGHT THE SIT TO MY ATTN. AT THIS TIME THE 2 ACFT HAD ALMOST PASSED AND THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO.
