Narrative:
While being vectored for approach by mco, we were turned 180 degrees in both left and right (first to 90 degrees, then back to 270 degrees). Another aircraft (ab) and we were aircraft AC, approach was confusing call signs. Gave us 6000 ft and we were at 5000 ft. While trying to verify altitude, we were vectored into turbulence and lost 300 ft, to 4700 ft and then climbed to 6000 ft.
