Narrative:
Taxiing in to gate xx in clt. Visually cleared safe zone as taxiing in. Aircraft was being marshalled in by marshaller. About 5-10 ft from stop line, aircraft and catering truck impacted. Left wingtip marshaller was still directing us to move ahead toward gate at time of impact, jetway was between cockpit and wingtip at time of impact.

Title: B737-400 STRUCK CATERING TRUCK DURING GATE PARKING.
Narrative: TAXIING IN TO GATE XX IN CLT. VISUALLY CLRED SAFE ZONE AS TAXIING IN. ACFT WAS BEING MARSHALLED IN BY MARSHALLER. ABOUT 5-10 FT FROM STOP LINE, ACFT AND CATERING TRUCK IMPACTED. L WINGTIP MARSHALLER WAS STILL DIRECTING US TO MOVE AHEAD TOWARD GATE AT TIME OF IMPACT, JETWAY WAS BTWN COCKPIT AND WINGTIP AT TIME OF IMPACT.
