Narrative:
Our flight was cleared for takeoff runway 27L at phl. I was the PF. After advancing the thrust levers to toga, I removed my hand, and the captain assumed/maintained control of the thrust levers as is normal SOP. Between approximately 80-100 KTS, we got an amber master caution light and, momentarily, an ECAM message: 'navigation FM/GPS position disagreement.' since the ECAM is supposed to inhibit the warnings/cautions which are not paramount (ie, fire/failure) from 80 KTS to 1500 ft AGL (or 2 mins after liftoff, whichever occurs first), the captain made the decision to reject the takeoff. After stopping the aircraft and then clearing the runway, we tried to figure out what ECAM message had occurred, since it was no longer displayed. We called company maintenance and discussed what happened with them. We were told as long as there were no ECAM messages still displayed (and there weren't) we were ok to continue our flight. We waited until our brakes cooled to the required temperature, then continued, uneventfully, to our destination.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN AIRBUS 319 ON TKOF ROLL RECEIVED AN ECAM WARNING BTWN 80-100 KTS AND ELECTED TO REJECT THE TKOF.
Narrative: OUR FLT WAS CLRED FOR TKOF RWY 27L AT PHL. I WAS THE PF. AFTER ADVANCING THE THRUST LEVERS TO TOGA, I REMOVED MY HAND, AND THE CAPT ASSUMED/MAINTAINED CTL OF THE THRUST LEVERS AS IS NORMAL SOP. BTWN APPROX 80-100 KTS, WE GOT AN AMBER MASTER CAUTION LIGHT AND, MOMENTARILY, AN ECAM MESSAGE: 'NAV FM/GPS POS DISAGREEMENT.' SINCE THE ECAM IS SUPPOSED TO INHIBIT THE WARNINGS/CAUTIONS WHICH ARE NOT PARAMOUNT (IE, FIRE/FAILURE) FROM 80 KTS TO 1500 FT AGL (OR 2 MINS AFTER LIFTOFF, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST), THE CAPT MADE THE DECISION TO REJECT THE TKOF. AFTER STOPPING THE ACFT AND THEN CLRING THE RWY, WE TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT ECAM MESSAGE HAD OCCURRED, SINCE IT WAS NO LONGER DISPLAYED. WE CALLED COMPANY MAINT AND DISCUSSED WHAT HAPPENED WITH THEM. WE WERE TOLD AS LONG AS THERE WERE NO ECAM MESSAGES STILL DISPLAYED (AND THERE WEREN'T) WE WERE OK TO CONTINUE OUR FLT. WE WAITED UNTIL OUR BRAKES COOLED TO THE REQUIRED TEMP, THEN CONTINUED, UNEVENTFULLY, TO OUR DEST.
