Narrative:
On sep/xb/99 I was informed at XA30 the left nose gear wheel and tire assembly that I replaced on MD90 aircraft nose xyz on sep/xa/99 at approximately XA30 was the wrong part number for MD90 aircraft. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the MD90 has the tire vent plugs that are different than the MD80 series. The company has now standardized the part numbers and the wheel and tire assemblies are now interchangeable.
