Narrative:
WX had deteriorated at anc. Although it appeared we could land with no problem using CAT I ILS procedures, captain decided while we were being vectored for approach to couple other autoplt and use CAT III procedures/autoland to make sure we made it in. I agreed and the captain gave me aircraft via the autoplt and we rebugged for a flaps 40 degree landing and flew an uneventful CAT III automatic landing. After reaching the gate and preparing for the return flight to sea, I suddenly noticed the aircraft status as 'CAT I' while I was looking over the new release and flight plan. Because of this, we technically should not have flown the approach using CAT III autoland procedures. Had we taken the time to properly brief with the briefing card for a CAT III autoland as we usually do, we both would have probably noticed the aircraft status and not flown a CAT III autoland as we did.

Title: A B737-400 FLC DISCOVERED THE ACFT HAD BEEN REMOVED FROM CAT III AFTER COMPLETING A CAT III APCH AND AUTOLAND.

I AGREED AND THE CAPT GAVE ME ACFT VIA THE AUTOPLT AND WE REBUGGED FOR A FLAPS 40 DEG LNDG AND FLEW AN UNEVENTFUL CAT III AUTO LNDG. AFTER REACHING THE GATE AND PREPARING FOR THE RETURN FLT TO SEA, I SUDDENLY NOTICED THE ACFT STATUS AS 'CAT I' WHILE I WAS LOOKING OVER THE NEW RELEASE AND FLT PLAN. BECAUSE OF THIS, WE TECHNICALLY SHOULD NOT HAVE FLOWN THE APCH USING CAT III AUTOLAND PROCS. HAD WE TAKEN THE TIME TO PROPERLY BRIEF WITH THE BRIEFING CARD FOR A CAT III AUTOLAND AS WE USUALLY DO, WE BOTH WOULD HAVE PROBABLY NOTICED THE ACFT STATUS AND NOT FLOWN A CAT III AUTOLAND AS WE DID.
