Narrative:

Armed passenger notification not received. Near the end of the cruise portion of this flight, the #1 flight attendant came up to the cockpit to tell me that she had just reviewed her passenger manifest to determine who some passenger were. During this study, she noticed the passenger seated in xxy was shown as armed. This information was also noted in the text at the bottom of the list with the notes 'armed: passenger is with the govt and is badge number XXXX.' neither the flight attendant nor myself received any notification via copies of the required forms or a verbal statement that this person was in fact on the aircraft. The agents who handled this flight at dfw should be reminded that this notification is required prior to boarding any armed individuals.
