Narrative:
After takeoff at lga runway 22 lga 8 departure, we received a heading error and lost both flight directors. Eventually both flight directors came back. At 2.5 DME the departure is to turn left to 070 degrees. When we selected heading mode, the flight director commanded a right turn, which I followed in the confusion. Departure then told us to turn right to a 360 degree heading and tighten up the turn to avoid jfk. No conflicts arose.
