Narrative:

On oct/xa/99 at XA00, air carrier notified me of a ceiling panel I had reinstalled had fallen down 4 days later and the FAA has sent a notice of investigation to air carrier questioning the maintenance performed on the aircraft. The panel I reinstalled is just aft of the cockpit door with 4 bayonet fasteners securing the panel (see ipc reference 25-24-00-01B which is enclosed). The maintenance I performed was per air carrier maintenance procedures -- all 4 bayonets were secure in panel, and no tape was used on this panel.
