Narrative:

Aft center fuel pump was on maintenance carryover as weak. MEL said to consider center tank fuel unusable. Wing tanks were full and center tank had about 1000 pounds of fuel in it. Tried to get dispatch to change fuel numbers, but by the time we received release and no real changes were made, I just made my own small changes and departed. This was safe because the difference between block fuel and minimum for takeoff was 1700 pounds and we only had 1000 pounds of block that was unusable. That gave us 700 pounds for start and taxi. We only burned 300 pounds of the 700 pounds on ground.
