Narrative:
Flight was planned into aiy, bader, where a temporary tower had been set up to handle the expected high volume of traffic. Usually bader is uncontrolled and appropriate procedures would be followed. On this flight we were handed off from atlantic city approach to temporary tower at bader and cleared to land. No mention of runway conditions were made. Upon landing, the left main tire of the single engine aircraft blew and the aircraft could not be kept on the centerline and veered off the left side of the runway into the mud. Upon inspection of the runway, it was littered with shell debris and a dead bird carcass. I believe the shells affected my left gear and were a major factor in the blown tire. Corrective actions: the city should have cleaned up the runway prior to the event (as a few other planes had some smoking tires on landing, probably due to the runway debris). The city has made it a known fact they don't want the airport there, everything they have not done is a detriment to the airport and the aviation community.

Title: SINGLE PLT OF GRUMMAN AA-5B EXPERIENCES L MAIN TIRE BLOWN AND SUSTAINS RWY EXCURSION INTO MUD AT AIY.
Narrative: FLT WAS PLANNED INTO AIY, BADER, WHERE A TEMPORARY TWR HAD BEEN SET UP TO HANDLE THE EXPECTED HIGH VOLUME OF TFC. USUALLY BADER IS UNCTLED AND APPROPRIATE PROCS WOULD BE FOLLOWED. ON THIS FLT WE WERE HANDED OFF FROM ATLANTIC CITY APCH TO TEMPORARY TWR AT BADER AND CLRED TO LAND. NO MENTION OF RWY CONDITIONS WERE MADE. UPON LNDG, THE L MAIN TIRE OF THE SINGLE ENG ACFT BLEW AND THE ACFT COULD NOT BE KEPT ON THE CTRLINE AND VEERED OFF THE L SIDE OF THE RWY INTO THE MUD. UPON INSPECTION OF THE RWY, IT WAS LITTERED WITH SHELL DEBRIS AND A DEAD BIRD CARCASS. I BELIEVE THE SHELLS AFFECTED MY L GEAR AND WERE A MAJOR FACTOR IN THE BLOWN TIRE. CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: THE CITY SHOULD HAVE CLEANED UP THE RWY PRIOR TO THE EVENT (AS A FEW OTHER PLANES HAD SOME SMOKING TIRES ON LNDG, PROBABLY DUE TO THE RWY DEBRIS). THE CITY HAS MADE IT A KNOWN FACT THEY DON'T WANT THE ARPT THERE, EVERYTHING THEY HAVE NOT DONE IS A DETRIMENT TO THE ARPT AND THE AVIATION COMMUNITY.
