Narrative:
#2 and #5 slat actuator fairing removed from aircraft and aircraft released per cdl. A cdl number was used as part of the release given to me by technical center but no control number was given to me. The aircraft should not have been dispatched without a control number pertaining to the cdl.

Title: A B737-200 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH 2 SLAT ACTUATOR FAIRINGS REMOVED AND DEFERRED PER THE CDL WITH NO CTL NUMBER ON THE MAINT RELEASE.
Narrative: #2 AND #5 SLAT ACTUATOR FAIRING REMOVED FROM ACFT AND ACFT RELEASED PER CDL. A CDL NUMBER WAS USED AS PART OF THE RELEASE GIVEN TO ME BY TECHNICAL CTR BUT NO CTL NUMBER WAS GIVEN TO ME. THE ACFT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DISPATCHED WITHOUT A CTL NUMBER PERTAINING TO THE CDL.
