Narrative:
Extreme crosswind and shear encountered. Autoplt not able to correct and maintain victor airway. Hand flew to airway, but was in a matter of 2-3 mins about 5 mi off course. Corrected when controller brought to my attention. No problem. Lesson in extreme (82 KTS) crosswind conditions be ever vigilant of autoplt.

Narrative: EXTREME XWIND AND SHEAR ENCOUNTERED. AUTOPLT NOT ABLE TO CORRECT AND MAINTAIN VICTOR AIRWAY. HAND FLEW TO AIRWAY, BUT WAS IN A MATTER OF 2-3 MINS ABOUT 5 MI OFF COURSE.
