Narrative:
I was coming in to do touch-and-goes. I entered downwind at tpa. When abeam the end of the runway, I was given instructions by the tower to do a right 360 degree turn. When the 360 degree turn was complete, I continued on the downwind past the normal turn to base point. I contacted the tower and was given permission to turn base, and was cleared to land on runway 28L. On turning final, I made the mistake of lining up on runway 28R. I was concentrating on the landing and did not pay attention to the runway numbers. I did not see the yellow X until I was in the roundout, at which point I thought it would be safer to stop than try to go around. When the tower saw that I was on the wrong runway, they told me to taxi left on the first intersection and stop. I did so, and waited for instructions. The tower instructed me to taxi onto runway 28L and hold, which I did. The tower then told me to taxi off of runway 28L and contact ground. I contacted ground and was given permission to taxi to base. The mistake here was entirely my own. There was no communication problem with the tower. I understood that I was supposed to land on runway 28L.

Title: STUDENT PLT OF AN SEL SMA LANDED ON THE WRONG PARALLEL RWYS, WHICH WAS ALSO CLOSED, BY MISTAKE. HE HAD JUST COMPLETED A 360 DEG TURN ON BASE LEG FOR THE ASSIGNED RWY, AT THE REQUEST OF THE TWR FOR TFC SPACING, AND BECAME DISORIENTED AND TURNED FINAL TO THE WRONG RWY.
Narrative: I WAS COMING IN TO DO TOUCH-AND-GOES. I ENTERED DOWNWIND AT TPA. WHEN ABEAM THE END OF THE RWY, I WAS GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS BY THE TWR TO DO A R 360 DEG TURN. WHEN THE 360 DEG TURN WAS COMPLETE, I CONTINUED ON THE DOWNWIND PAST THE NORMAL TURN TO BASE POINT. I CONTACTED THE TWR AND WAS GIVEN PERMISSION TO TURN BASE, AND WAS CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 28L. ON TURNING FINAL, I MADE THE MISTAKE OF LINING UP ON RWY 28R. I WAS CONCENTRATING ON THE LNDG AND DID NOT PAY ATTN TO THE RWY NUMBERS. I DID NOT SEE THE YELLOW X UNTIL I WAS IN THE ROUNDOUT, AT WHICH POINT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE SAFER TO STOP THAN TRY TO GO AROUND. WHEN THE TWR SAW THAT I WAS ON THE WRONG RWY, THEY TOLD ME TO TAXI L ON THE FIRST INTXN AND STOP. I DID SO, AND WAITED FOR INSTRUCTIONS. THE TWR INSTRUCTED ME TO TAXI ONTO RWY 28L AND HOLD, WHICH I DID. THE TWR THEN TOLD ME TO TAXI OFF OF RWY 28L AND CONTACT GND. I CONTACTED GND AND WAS GIVEN PERMISSION TO TAXI TO BASE. THE MISTAKE HERE WAS ENTIRELY MY OWN. THERE WAS NO COM PROB WITH THE TWR. I UNDERSTOOD THAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO LAND ON RWY 28L.
