Narrative:

As I was being marshalled in by our company ramp agents in to our gate, the right engine's propellers came in contact with an object on the ground -- a jet water cart. All 4 propeller blades were damaged. Company policy is, while being marshalled in to a gate, the marshaller is responsible for aircraft avoidance and to ensure safe proximity clearance of any and all objects on the ground. In the future, I'll be sure not to trust the ramp agent marshalling me in, and to completely scan the parking area before I fix my attention onto the marshaller. I would also brief my copilot on the importance of outside clearance and ask him to use the brakes if needed without saying first.
