Narrative:
Cruising on J14 to ric. At gso 058-069 degree radial, the controller asked us if we were going to make our descent to cross jaxsn at FL250. We started down immediately and got to FL250 at gso 058-072 degree radial. We never heard any clearance to leave FL290 prior to that mentioned above.

Title: AN ACR FO RPTED THAT HIS FLT RECEIVED INSTRUCTIONS TO CROSS JAXSN AT FL250, BUT WERE NOT GIVEN THE ACCOMPANYING DSCNT INSTRUCTIONS.
Narrative: CRUISING ON J14 TO RIC. AT GSO 058-069 DEG RADIAL, THE CTLR ASKED US IF WE WERE GOING TO MAKE OUR DSCNT TO CROSS JAXSN AT FL250. WE STARTED DOWN IMMEDIATELY AND GOT TO FL250 AT GSO 058-072 DEG RADIAL. WE NEVER HEARD ANY CLRNC TO LEAVE FL290 PRIOR TO THAT MENTIONED ABOVE.
