Narrative:
While approaching gate in phl, we noticed a fuel truck parked to the right of the gate fueling another aircraft. Captain held short of the gate area while a wingwalker repositioned himself next to the fuel truck. The guideman then proceeded to marshall us in to the gate. I continually watched the right side wingwalker as the aircraft moved slowly forward. As the wingman was about to pass from my view, he continued to indicate the patch was clear. I advised the captain that he was clear. As I brought my view forward to the guideman, I saw him signal to stop and almost simultaneously felt the collision. I then opened my side and put my head out to survey the situation. I informed captain that we had indeed made contact with the fuel truck at that point. The fuel truck was moved forward and we proceeded to the gate without further incident. Supplemental information from acn 455983: as I was moving on the lead-in line, the lead guideman suddenly gave the signal to stop, and as I was applying the brakes, the wingtip hit the fuel truck. After shutdown, I got out to see what happened and passenger said she saw the guideman at the truck give the clear sign up to the time I hit the truck.

Title: SUPER MD80 STRIKES FUEL TRUCK DURING PARKING.
Narrative: WHILE APCHING GATE IN PHL, WE NOTICED A FUEL TRUCK PARKED TO THE R OF THE GATE FUELING ANOTHER ACFT. CAPT HELD SHORT OF THE GATE AREA WHILE A WINGWALKER REPOSITIONED HIMSELF NEXT TO THE FUEL TRUCK. THE GUIDEMAN THEN PROCEEDED TO MARSHALL US IN TO THE GATE. I CONTINUALLY WATCHED THE R SIDE WINGWALKER AS THE ACFT MOVED SLOWLY FORWARD. AS THE WINGMAN WAS ABOUT TO PASS FROM MY VIEW, HE CONTINUED TO INDICATE THE PATCH WAS CLR. I ADVISED THE CAPT THAT HE WAS CLR. AS I BROUGHT MY VIEW FORWARD TO THE GUIDEMAN, I SAW HIM SIGNAL TO STOP AND ALMOST SIMULTANEOUSLY FELT THE COLLISION. I THEN OPENED MY SIDE AND PUT MY HEAD OUT TO SURVEY THE SIT. I INFORMED CAPT THAT WE HAD INDEED MADE CONTACT WITH THE FUEL TRUCK AT THAT POINT. THE FUEL TRUCK WAS MOVED FORWARD AND WE PROCEEDED TO THE GATE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 455983: AS I WAS MOVING ON THE LEAD-IN LINE, THE LEAD GUIDEMAN SUDDENLY GAVE THE SIGNAL TO STOP, AND AS I WAS APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE WINGTIP HIT THE FUEL TRUCK. AFTER SHUTDOWN, I GOT OUT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED AND PAX SAID SHE SAW THE GUIDEMAN AT THE TRUCK GIVE THE CLR SIGN UP TO THE TIME I HIT THE TRUCK.
