Narrative:

When flight crew boarded, the panels (electrical) in the overhead bins (approximately 12) were down. They were working on lighting ceiling. We boarded when maintenance said we were good to go. I shut the lights off during taxi. At roll for takeoff, the flight attendant in rear of aircraft smelled an electrically burning smell. I smelled it immediately after takeoff, and during climb. The passenger also smelled it. We landed and it still smelled, even on the ground, but was lessening. Electrically burning is my only idea.
