Narrative:
Air carrier Y, B737, was being vectored behind air carrier X, E145. Both aircraft were slowed to 210 KTS because of approach control's request. I diverted my attention to deal with other aircraft, including an aircraft who had called on my frequency who wasn't supposed to. When I realized that the vector on air carrier Y would be insufficient, I asked cle approach to descend the other aircraft X out of the way.
