Primary Problem | Passenger Human Performance |
Narrative:
Passenger appeared somewhat intoxicated and was reported by another passenger to have been talking about the bombing in okc. Passenger told another flight attendant about it, who reported it to me. I then reported immediately to the captain. Passenger service was involved and passenger was removed from aircraft. Crisis control was called! Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that the 'bomb' threat was overheard by an employee on a pass in the smoking lounge at stl airport. He reportedly said that 'this may not be the last of the bombs' (or bomb threats). When the same intoxicated man got on the plane, the employee told the flight attendants about his statement. She thought that maybe the informant was trying to feel self-important and could have been exaggerating the possible threat. The captain took the mention of 'bomb' seriously, and had the passenger removed.

CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT THE 'BOMB' THREAT WAS OVERHEARD BY AN EMPLOYEE ON A PASS IN THE SMOKING LOUNGE AT STL ARPT.
