Narrative:
During takeoff from runway 27 at bos, while flying the FMS wylyy departure, turned right instead of turning left as departure called for. Verifying that the FMC was loaded correctly and better communication between the PF and the PNF would have prevented the wrong turn.

Title: ACR CREW TURNS WRONG DIRECTION ON DEP FROM BOS USING FMS DEP.
Narrative: DURING TKOF FROM RWY 27 AT BOS, WHILE FLYING THE FMS WYLYY DEP, TURNED R INSTEAD OF TURNING L AS DEP CALLED FOR. VERIFYING THAT THE FMC WAS LOADED CORRECTLY AND BETTER COM BTWN THE PF AND THE PNF WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THE WRONG TURN.
