Narrative:

We were given a lahso clearance, 'cleared to land runway 27 (tpa) hold short runway 18L.' we were originally cleared to land runway 27 and at about 5 mi we were told to hold short. We accepted this clearance, even though we should not have. Tpa does not have appropriate lahso lighting on runway 27, which is necessary for lahso at night. However, the controller should not have issued this clearance. As soon as we touched down, we were instructed to continue through the intersection of runway 27 and runway 18L and to clear runway 27 at taxiway C, located just west of runway 18L (lahso's were not required). In summary, we were given an incorrect clearance, which we should not have accepted, but which should not have been issued.

Title: DCH8 PLT ACCEPTS LAHSO CLRNC AT NIGHT WHEN THERE WERE NO LIGHTS TO INDICATE HOLD SHORT POINT AT TPA.

Narrative: WE WERE GIVEN A LAHSO CLRNC, 'CLRED TO LAND RWY 27 (TPA) HOLD SHORT RWY 18L.' WE WERE ORIGINALLY CLRED TO LAND RWY 27 AND AT ABOUT 5 MI WE WERE TOLD TO HOLD SHORT. WE ACCEPTED THIS CLRNC, EVEN THOUGH WE SHOULD NOT HAVE. TPA DOES NOT HAVE APPROPRIATE LAHSO LIGHTING ON RWY 27, WHICH IS NECESSARY FOR LAHSO AT NIGHT. HOWEVER, THE CTLR SHOULD NOT HAVE ISSUED THIS CLRNC. AS SOON AS WE TOUCHED DOWN, WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE INTXN OF RWY 27 AND RWY 18L AND TO CLR RWY 27 AT TXWY C, LOCATED JUST W OF RWY 18L (LAHSO'S WERE NOT REQUIRED). IN SUMMARY, WE WERE GIVEN AN INCORRECT CLRNC, WHICH WE SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED, BUT WHICH SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ISSUED.
