Narrative:

Crossing restr. At FL240, controller asked if we would make crossing restr at bambe at 11000 ft. As PNF, the first officer and I both remember being cleared direct to bambe, but neither was sure about the 11000 ft restr and altitude alerter was not set to 11000 ft. We told the controller unable, and he vectored us to the masty arrival and we complied with the restrs. No further comment by controller. Supplemental information from acn 460481: captain and first officer confusion on crossing restr. During bowie 5 arrival, first officer heard cleared direct bambe and proceeded direct on gfms. Approximately 20 mi from bambe, controller asked if we would make bambe at 11000 ft. Flight guidance panel had not been set to 11000 ft nor did first officer hear that part of the clearance. Controller amended descent with a turn to 360 degrees and FL180. We were ultimately directed to join the masty arrival. Captain stated to me he was not sure if he copied/read back the altitude restr or not. We are not sure whether or not the altitude clearance was ever given to us.
