Narrative:
VMC on descent and company called a distraction was in place at FL180 and with a low altimeter for the anchorage area, transition callouts were missed -- we went through our assigned altitude of 8000 ft for a brief moment. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: called the reporter to fill in the portion of the form which was left blank. Reporter offered no further information.

Title: BE02 CAPT DID NOT SEE QNH AT THE TRANSITION ALT. HAD AN ALT OVERSHOOT.
Narrative: VMC ON DSCNT AND COMPANY CALLED A DISTR WAS IN PLACE AT FL180 AND WITH A LOW ALTIMETER FOR THE ANCHORAGE AREA, TRANSITION CALLOUTS WERE MISSED -- WE WENT THROUGH OUR ASSIGNED ALT OF 8000 FT FOR A BRIEF MOMENT.
