Narrative:
While being radar vectored for ILS runway 30R approach at msp, ATC assigned us 7000 ft and direct jacko. After being turned over to the final controller, we were assigned direct bonna. This threw us for a moment because it was located behind the fix that we were already cleared to. (Through approximately 10000 ft, the captain disengaged the autoplt because he had been on vacation for a while and wanted to get some hand flying in.) as I was entering bonna, the captain was monitoring the entry to ensure proper fix identify. The fix was idented by both crew members and direct to and navigation were then selected. Just about that time the altitude alert went off showing us lower than our assigned altitude. (The 1000 ft above call was made.) since the captain was making a shallow descent, a quick recovery was made and no more than a 300 ft deviation below altitude was noted. ATC had no comments and the flight continued normally. Supplemental information from acn 462611: autoplt off. Distraction while looking at approach charts.

Title: FK100 FLC DSNDED BELOW ASSIGNED ALT.
Narrative: WHILE BEING RADAR VECTORED FOR ILS RWY 30R APCH AT MSP, ATC ASSIGNED US 7000 FT AND DIRECT JACKO. AFTER BEING TURNED OVER TO THE FINAL CTLR, WE WERE ASSIGNED DIRECT BONNA. THIS THREW US FOR A MOMENT BECAUSE IT WAS LOCATED BEHIND THE FIX THAT WE WERE ALREADY CLRED TO. (THROUGH APPROX 10000 FT, THE CAPT DISENGAGED THE AUTOPLT BECAUSE HE HAD BEEN ON VACATION FOR A WHILE AND WANTED TO GET SOME HAND FLYING IN.) AS I WAS ENTERING BONNA, THE CAPT WAS MONITORING THE ENTRY TO ENSURE PROPER FIX IDENT. THE FIX WAS IDENTED BY BOTH CREW MEMBERS AND DIRECT TO AND NAV WERE THEN SELECTED. JUST ABOUT THAT TIME THE ALT ALERT WENT OFF SHOWING US LOWER THAN OUR ASSIGNED ALT. (THE 1000 FT ABOVE CALL WAS MADE.) SINCE THE CAPT WAS MAKING A SHALLOW DSCNT, A QUICK RECOVERY WAS MADE AND NO MORE THAN A 300 FT DEV BELOW ALT WAS NOTED. ATC HAD NO COMMENTS AND THE FLT CONTINUED NORMALLY.
