Narrative:
Air interrupt back to dfw. During climb out, we received a level 1 alert with rud 2 on MFDU. Rud 2 fault was lit on overhead, and checklist was present on MFDU. We turned off rudder #2 per the checklist, and requested return to dfw. All system indicated normal, and the rudder was operating properly on the standby system. We landed uneventfully at dfw well below maximum landing weight.
