Narrative:
Upon returning to the gate for 'automatic ground spoiler inoperative' light and while maintenance was investigating with flaps extended found that the secondary fixed door attached to the right main landing gear strut was missing. The hinge on the secondary hinged door was damaged and the door was removed. After performance corrections were made we proceeded to atlanta. Supplemental information from acn 462886: inbound flight from hnl/slc must have lost doors. After 3 hour delay to remove damaged door and mco with atl maintenance approval and 270 KIAS placard flight was uneventful.
