Narrative:
Confusion in the cockpit and radio caused student to taxi from runway onto taxiway without prior permission. By the time clearance was obtained, we were on the taxiway. Inadvertent omission and follow-up by me, CFI.

Title: A CFI, PREOCCUPIED WITH A NEW STUDENT, DID NOT PREVENT THE STUDENT FROM ENTERING THE TXWY BEFORE GETTING PERMISSION FROM GND AT ZZZ.
Narrative: CONFUSION IN THE COCKPIT AND RADIO CAUSED STUDENT TO TAXI FROM RWY ONTO TXWY WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION. BY THE TIME CLRNC WAS OBTAINED, WE WERE ON THE TXWY. INADVERTENT OMISSION AND FOLLOW-UP BY ME, CFI.
