Smoke reported in cabin by lead flight attendant. Sent first officer back to look -- he reported it smelled like burning insulation. Declared an emergency and recovered to atl. Landing was uneventful -- did exceed 250 KTS below 10000 ft to expedite landing. Fire crews met aircraft, checked aircraft and taxied to gate.
