Narrative:

Fuel controls on this twin engine helicopter part number wxyz had an airworthiness directive compliance due aug/mon/99. Because of unavailability of parts, the chicago FAA certification office has already extended this airworthiness directive 180 days from sep/wed/99 by part number and serial number of units. These fuel controls were never officially extended by serial number. An extension has been sent in feb/tue/00 and will be granted because of unavailability of parts, airworthiness directive 98-24-28. Since sep/wed/99 the helicopter has only flown 2 hours in sep/99 till today feb/tue/00. Discrepancy found on annual inspection.

Title: AN AGUSTA 109 HELI DURING AN ANNUAL INSPECTION WAS FOUND TO BE IN NON COMPLIANCE DUE TO TIME LIMIT EXPIRATION FOR AN AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE.

Narrative: FUEL CTLS ON THIS TWIN ENG HELI PART NUMBER WXYZ HAD AN AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE COMPLIANCE DUE AUG/MON/99. BECAUSE OF UNAVAILABILITY OF PARTS, THE CHICAGO FAA CERTIFICATION OFFICE HAS ALREADY EXTENDED THIS AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE 180 DAYS FROM SEP/WED/99 BY PART NUMBER AND SERIAL NUMBER OF UNITS. THESE FUEL CTLS WERE NEVER OFFICIALLY EXTENDED BY SERIAL NUMBER. AN EXTENSION HAS BEEN SENT IN FEB/TUE/00 AND WILL BE GRANTED BECAUSE OF UNAVAILABILITY OF PARTS, AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE 98-24-28. SINCE SEP/WED/99 THE HELI HAS ONLY FLOWN 2 HRS IN SEP/99 TILL TODAY FEB/TUE/00. DISCREPANCY FOUND ON ANNUAL INSPECTION.
