Narrative:
Fuel controls on this twin engine helicopter part number wxyz had an airworthiness directive compliance due aug/mon/99. Because of unavailability of parts, the chicago FAA certification office has already extended this airworthiness directive 180 days from sep/wed/99 by part number and serial number of units. These fuel controls were never officially extended by serial number. An extension has been sent in feb/tue/00 and will be granted because of unavailability of parts, airworthiness directive 98-24-28. Since sep/wed/99 the helicopter has only flown 2 hours in sep/99 till today feb/tue/00. Discrepancy found on annual inspection.
