Narrative:
After landing on runway 4R in ewr, we were holding short between runway 4R and runway 4L. Tower cleared a B737 flight (bxa) to cross runway 4L and contact ground. We were operating flight (gxa) and thought we were given clearance to cross the runway. We proceeded to cross runway 4L, and at the same time another aircraft was cleared to land and was told to go around because of the close proximity. After discussing the incident with ewr tower supervisor, no further action will be taken. I believe the closeness of the 2 call signs contributed to the miscom.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 4R IN EWR, WE WERE HOLDING SHORT BTWN RWY 4R AND RWY 4L. TWR CLRED A B737 FLT (BXA) TO CROSS RWY 4L AND CONTACT GND. WE WERE OPERATING FLT (GXA) AND THOUGHT WE WERE GIVEN CLRNC TO CROSS THE RWY. WE PROCEEDED TO CROSS RWY 4L, AND AT THE SAME TIME ANOTHER ACFT WAS CLRED TO LAND AND WAS TOLD TO GO AROUND BECAUSE OF THE CLOSE PROX.
