Narrative:
After landing with visual approach, captain went inside and I did the walkaround check of the aircraft. When inside I saw the captain on the phone and figured he was closing the flight plan. Nothing was said to me, until the next morning. I will make sure that I confirm with the captain that the flight plan is closed. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that the airport to which they made their scheduled landing was key west, fl. Even though they are always on an IFR flight plan, the company policy is for the crew to close the flight plan after landing when the control tower is closed for the night. The company reached the captain in his hotel room to confirm flight landed ok and that the flight plan could be officially closed.
