Narrative:
During the course of a pre-buy audit of bell 212 #xyz, serial number XXXX, it was determined that certain subcomponents of the main rotor scissors and sleeve assembly had exceeded their retirement times. Confusion on entries in the historical service record and a lack of attention on my part caused these parts to exceed their 9000 hour limit by 1445 hours. I am the supervisor in charge of the records on this aircraft. I immediately grounded the aircraft and notified management.
