Narrative:
Cleared for ILS runway 27 approach at iah in VMC. We've done it hundreds of times before. I gave the minimum required approach brief for a VFR approach. Only 1 problem -- the approach has been changed recently and we didn't catch the new mandatory crossing altitudes! We did not have any known conflict, but we did cross 1 fix about 500 ft high. We learned our lesson -- don't take anything for granted, and the minimum approach brief might not be adequate. Tower told us 'no problem.'
