Narrative:
First officer was taken out of rotation schedule. He only had 9 hours 2 mins rest. Was not advised that first officer was out of rotation. First officer brought in remedial training given by safety officer and duty officer. Captain will always be advised by first officer of last flight and completion of last duty day. Also will be advised when ordered to fly if first officer is out of rotation. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter said in callback that the first officer was new out of training and was not up to speed on the rest and duty time rules. His company has put a system in place that has corrected the problem.

Title: AIR TAXI CAPT COMPLAINS OF QUALIFICATION OF ASSIGNED COPLT.
Narrative: FO WAS TAKEN OUT OF ROTATION SCHEDULE. HE ONLY HAD 9 HRS 2 MINS REST. WAS NOT ADVISED THAT FO WAS OUT OF ROTATION. FO BROUGHT IN REMEDIAL TRAINING GIVEN BY SAFETY OFFICER AND DUTY OFFICER. CAPT WILL ALWAYS BE ADVISED BY FO OF LAST FLT AND COMPLETION OF LAST DUTY DAY. ALSO WILL BE ADVISED WHEN ORDERED TO FLY IF FO IS OUT OF ROTATION. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR SAID IN CALLBACK THAT THE FO WAS NEW OUT OF TRAINING AND WAS NOT UP TO SPD ON THE REST AND DUTY TIME RULES. HIS COMPANY HAS PUT A SYS IN PLACE THAT HAS CORRECTED THE PROB.
