Narrative:
Aircraft was climbing on autoplt, FGC modes navigation and flight crew. Approximately 300 ft below FL330, asel was annunciated indicating capture of the altitude. However, the aircraft continued to climb through FL330 and increased vertical speed. I disconnected the autoplt at FL332, stopped the climb at FL335 and descended down to FL330. The vertical modes have worked reliably in this aircraft up to now, but the lear 45's are so plagued with problems nothing would surprise me at this point. By the way, the TCASII didn't show any traffic and there didn't appear to be any conflict.
