Narrative:
Heavy traffic from the hotel delayed our arrival to the lax airport limiting the preflight time for departure time. When we entered operations, I found our flight plans, releases and WX in a stack on the counter. I skimmed through the WX underlining pertinent information indicating VFR conditions for our destination and alternate and some precipitation from north texas through kansas. Upon reaching kansas, we had not seen any WX and I pulled the WX package out to show the captain where the precipitation was shown. I then noticed that the date on all of our WX was for apr/sat/00 (2 days earlier)for the same flight number. We talked to dispatch to get current WX and found our destination and alternate near approach minimums. In the future I will be more careful to look at the time and date that the WX package was made.
