Narrative:
It was discovered by maintenance personnel the aircraft had a maintenance discrepancy which had not been reinspected per airworthiness directive. Aircraft was flown numerous times without complying. The company policy is to place an inoperative sticker in plain view of the pilots for MEL procedures. The same should be done for aircraft reports to prevent a recurrence of same situation.
