Narrative:
Climbing out of ind en route ord, #1 VHF navigation failed to indicate properly to any VOR. Localizer had functioned departing ind and DME appeared to work normally. #1 HSI off flag remained in view and compass card precessed clockwise. ATC advised of inoperative #1 VHF navigation after consultation with company dispatch and maintenance control. Flight continued to destination and flew a normal visual approach.

Title: B727 CREW HAD COMPASS AND NAV RADIO FAILURE.
Narrative: CLBING OUT OF IND ENRTE ORD, #1 VHF NAV FAILED TO INDICATE PROPERLY TO ANY VOR. LOC HAD FUNCTIONED DEPARTING IND AND DME APPEARED TO WORK NORMALLY. #1 HSI OFF FLAG REMAINED IN VIEW AND COMPASS CARD PRECESSED CLOCKWISE. ATC ADVISED OF INOP #1 VHF NAV AFTER CONSULTATION WITH COMPANY DISPATCH AND MAINT CTL. FLT CONTINUED TO DEST AND FLEW A NORMAL VISUAL APCH.
