Narrative:

A helicopter announced straight-out departure from frederick municipal (fdk) parallel to runway 30. They were located to the left of the departure end of fdr runway 30. I was in a socata TB9 on a takeoff roll on runway 30 (about 1/3 - 1/2 way down runway). I acknowledged on unicom/CTAF. The helicopter was lifting off away from me. I overflew him to the right and above until his airspeed caused him to pass from under and away. At closest point, I was about 500 ft to right horizontal, and 300 ft above. I should have announced that I was already rolling and would hold course until he was clear. There was no danger of collision at any time. In my opinion, not enough room to abort takeoff.
