Narrative:
A helicopter announced straight-out departure from frederick municipal (fdk) parallel to runway 30. They were located to the left of the departure end of fdr runway 30. I was in a socata TB9 on a takeoff roll on runway 30 (about 1/3 - 1/2 way down runway). I acknowledged on unicom/CTAF. The helicopter was lifting off away from me. I overflew him to the right and above until his airspeed caused him to pass from under and away. At closest point, I was about 500 ft to right horizontal, and 300 ft above. I should have announced that I was already rolling and would hold course until he was clear. There was no danger of collision at any time. In my opinion, not enough room to abort takeoff.

Title: UNCTLED ARPT TFC CONFLICT BTWN A HELI AND FIXED WING ACFT DURING TKOF.
Narrative: A HELI ANNOUNCED STRAIGHT-OUT DEP FROM FREDERICK MUNICIPAL (FDK) PARALLEL TO RWY 30. THEY WERE LOCATED TO THE L OF THE DEP END OF FDR RWY 30. I WAS IN A SOCATA TB9 ON A TKOF ROLL ON RWY 30 (ABOUT 1/3 - 1/2 WAY DOWN RWY). I ACKNOWLEDGED ON UNICOM/CTAF. THE HELI WAS LIFTING OFF AWAY FROM ME. I OVERFLEW HIM TO THE R AND ABOVE UNTIL HIS AIRSPD CAUSED HIM TO PASS FROM UNDER AND AWAY. AT CLOSEST POINT, I WAS ABOUT 500 FT TO R HORIZ, AND 300 FT ABOVE. I SHOULD HAVE ANNOUNCED THAT I WAS ALREADY ROLLING AND WOULD HOLD COURSE UNTIL HE WAS CLR. THERE WAS NO DANGER OF COLLISION AT ANY TIME. IN MY OPINION, NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO ABORT TKOF.
