Narrative:
A male passenger, traveling with a female companion, repeatedly asked 2 flight attendants for complimentary upgrade seats xy. The cabin flight attendants requested my assistance (purser) to speak with the passenger. On taxi out, I greeted the passenger, and the passenger called again for complimentary upgrade. I declined the request. The passenger became verbally abusive and requested an upgrade from all 7 flight attendants during 3 hour 40 mins flight from ewr-sju. He never quit asking. I found out in sju, after pulling the passenger's record, that this passenger was verbally abusive to the ewr gate agents after he requested a complimentary upgrade. If I had known this at ewr and during the flight, I would have requested sju auths meet the flight because the passenger interfered with flight attendant duties the entire flight segment. The captain was briefed the entire time. The passenger was a top tier flyer with another airline, not with our airline, but he wanted special accommodation without any payment. The passenger continued his requests the entire flight segment. The auths were not called en route. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that the man had got onboard and wanted an upgrade to first class, so a flight attendant sent him back to the podium, saying she couldn't do it, but they perhaps could. He created a huge ruckus at the podium, but didn't get his way, because his frequent flyer mi with another airline didn't xfer over. The reporter said that had he notified san juan auths, ie, police, that they would have taken the man off, because they are very no nonsense with abusive passenger and they are very respectful of flight attendants.

Title: CABIN ATTENDANT RPT, A300-600, EWR-SJU. FREQUENT FLYER WITH ANOTHER AIRLINE BADGERED GATE AGENTS, CABIN ATTENDANT, FOR FREE UPGRADE TO FIRST CLASS. DENIED. DISRUPTED WHOLE FLT.
Narrative: A MALE PAX, TRAVELING WITH A FEMALE COMPANION, REPEATEDLY ASKED 2 FLT ATTENDANTS FOR COMPLIMENTARY UPGRADE SEATS XY. THE CABIN FLT ATTENDANTS REQUESTED MY ASSISTANCE (PURSER) TO SPEAK WITH THE PAX. ON TAXI OUT, I GREETED THE PAX, AND THE PAX CALLED AGAIN FOR COMPLIMENTARY UPGRADE. I DECLINED THE REQUEST. THE PAX BECAME VERBALLY ABUSIVE AND REQUESTED AN UPGRADE FROM ALL 7 FLT ATTENDANTS DURING 3 HR 40 MINS FLT FROM EWR-SJU. HE NEVER QUIT ASKING. I FOUND OUT IN SJU, AFTER PULLING THE PAX'S RECORD, THAT THIS PAX WAS VERBALLY ABUSIVE TO THE EWR GATE AGENTS AFTER HE REQUESTED A COMPLIMENTARY UPGRADE. IF I HAD KNOWN THIS AT EWR AND DURING THE FLT, I WOULD HAVE REQUESTED SJU AUTHS MEET THE FLT BECAUSE THE PAX INTERFERED WITH FLT ATTENDANT DUTIES THE ENTIRE FLT SEGMENT. THE CAPT WAS BRIEFED THE ENTIRE TIME. THE PAX WAS A TOP TIER FLYER WITH ANOTHER AIRLINE, NOT WITH OUR AIRLINE, BUT HE WANTED SPECIAL ACCOMMODATION WITHOUT ANY PAYMENT. THE PAX CONTINUED HIS REQUESTS THE ENTIRE FLT SEGMENT. THE AUTHS WERE NOT CALLED ENRTE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT THE MAN HAD GOT ONBOARD AND WANTED AN UPGRADE TO FIRST CLASS, SO A FLT ATTENDANT SENT HIM BACK TO THE PODIUM, SAYING SHE COULDN'T DO IT, BUT THEY PERHAPS COULD. HE CREATED A HUGE RUCKUS AT THE PODIUM, BUT DIDN'T GET HIS WAY, BECAUSE HIS FREQUENT FLYER MI WITH ANOTHER AIRLINE DIDN'T XFER OVER. THE RPTR SAID THAT HAD HE NOTIFIED SAN JUAN AUTHS, IE, POLICE, THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE MAN OFF, BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY NO NONSENSE WITH ABUSIVE PAX AND THEY ARE VERY RESPECTFUL OF FLT ATTENDANTS.
