Narrative:
On takeoff, at less than 20 KTS, right generator tripped with attending EICAS cautions (elevator, hydraulic, fuel, utility busses, etc). Very low speed rejected takeoff and made first exit. Aircraft had MEL for antiskid and autobrakes inoperative. Cleared runway, and completed the procedure for generator, and it reset itself, with no further problems at this time. When advising dispatch on approach to destination, we were told we should have informed them earlier, on ground at bwi as per fom requirement. On approach, generator field opened again, so made necessary write-up for both instances. The push to take aircraft originally with 2 1/2 hour delay, and last leg of 6 days on duty, had some 'get homeitis' and drive to successfully complete mission to minimize disruption to passenger was also inherent.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A B757-200 FLC ABORTS THEIR TKOF AT LOW SPD FOR A R GENERATOR FEED FAULT. AFTER FIXING THE PROB, THE ACFT DEPARTS WITHOUT ADVISING MAINT OR DISPATCHER OF THEIR EVENT AT BWI, MD.
Narrative: ON TKOF, AT LESS THAN 20 KTS, R GENERATOR TRIPPED WITH ATTENDING EICAS CAUTIONS (ELEVATOR, HYD, FUEL, UTILITY BUSSES, ETC). VERY LOW SPD REJECTED TKOF AND MADE FIRST EXIT. ACFT HAD MEL FOR ANTISKID AND AUTOBRAKES INOP. CLRED RWY, AND COMPLETED THE PROC FOR GENERATOR, AND IT RESET ITSELF, WITH NO FURTHER PROBS AT THIS TIME. WHEN ADVISING DISPATCH ON APCH TO DEST, WE WERE TOLD WE SHOULD HAVE INFORMED THEM EARLIER, ON GND AT BWI AS PER FOM REQUIREMENT. ON APCH, GENERATOR FIELD OPENED AGAIN, SO MADE NECESSARY WRITE-UP FOR BOTH INSTANCES. THE PUSH TO TAKE ACFT ORIGINALLY WITH 2 1/2 HR DELAY, AND LAST LEG OF 6 DAYS ON DUTY, HAD SOME 'GET HOMEITIS' AND DRIVE TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE MISSION TO MINIMIZE DISRUPTION TO PAX WAS ALSO INHERENT.
