Narrative:
On climb out from melbourne, first officer called for 'flaps up' at 1000 ft AGL. At that time we received a TA quickly followed by an RA 200 ft below and climbing at our 12 O'clock position less than 1 mi. I told the first officer to pull up to the vertical speed commanded by the TCASII. The TCASII showed the target 200 ft below and climbing. After we had passed the target we called departure and he confirmed the target. No information was passed to us by tower.
